Software Developer - Manufacturing Operations

Description

In this role you will:- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders for new Shop Floor System capabilities, new product introductions and manufacturing process optimisations.- Work across a broad technology stack to develop software solutions that bring tangible, lasting, positive change to Apple’s Manufacturing Operations and the customers it serves.- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to test, deploy & continuously improve our manufacturing software.- Troubleshoot issues, maintain IT infrastructure and ensure continued smooth operation of the manufacturing processes we support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Experience developing web based, database driven applications using PHP, MVC application frameworks (e.g. Symfony) and LAMP stack deployment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science or similar
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Experience working with web frameworks (e.g Symfony, Laravel, Rails, Spring etc)
• Version Control System experience (e.g. GIT)
• Understanding of databases, specifically MySQL
• Experience of high volume manufacturing processes
