Overview

Our client’s Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Mullingar provides essential, family-centered care to children with disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children and their families.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff and Senior Social Worker to provide vital support services, advocacy, and interventions to children with disabilities and their families. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within the CDNT, helping to create inclusive care plans that enhance children’s well-being and quality of life.

Position Available
  • Staff Grade Social Worker: Ideal for those beginning their career in social work, looking to develop their skills in a supportive team environment.
  • Senior Grade Social Worker: Suited for experienced professionals ready to take on a leadership role, guiding assessments, interventions, and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive social work assessments and provide tailored interventions for children and families.
  • Offer emotional and practical support to families navigating the challenges of disability.
  • Advocate for children’s rights and work towards their full inclusion in society.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to service planning and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualification: Degree in Social Work and CORU registration.
  • Experience:
    • Staff Grade: Open to newly qualified social workers eager to develop in the field.
    • Senior Grade: Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with paediatrics or disability experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
