Job summary

Waterford Intellectual Disability Association is recruiting a Social Care Worker on a part-time contract (120 hours per 4 weeks) to support adults with intellectual disability in daily life and community participation.

The role requires CORU registration or pending registration, a Level 7 qualification in Social Care, and a driving licence. You will work in home and day services, contributing to person-centred plans and inclusive activities.

Qualifications

• Be registered with CORU or have registration pending.
• Hold a minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies.
• Must have a valid driving licence for manual transmission.
• Ability to work with adults with intellectual disability and to support person-centred plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and implementation of individual plans; review at least twice a year.
• Assist with medication management in line with policy.
• Promote independence and community participation for service users.
• Ensure safety, reporting and documentation in line with regulations.
• Support budgeting and personal development plans within a multidisciplinary team.
