Job summary

Waterford Intellectual Disability Association is recruiting Part Time Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our team across residential services in Waterford. You will work 120 hours over a 4-week period in this on-site role.

We offer a pension, CPD, EAP, paid leave, Bike to Work, and require a minimum QQI Level 5 in Health Care/Social Care with 1+ year ID experience and a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Part-time role with minimum 120 hours every 4 weeks.
• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Health Care/Social Care or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of care assistant experience (ID experience).
• Full clean driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Organise and participate in recreational, educational and training programmes.
• Foster and develop social skills of service users.
• Implement a person-centred approach for each service user.
• Carry out risk assessments, implement care plans and conduct reviews.
• Support service users with medication management.

Are you looking for a Part Time role as a Care Assistant/Support Worker?

Waterford Intellectual Disability Association are currently recruiting forPart Time Care Assistants/Support Workers (120 hours per 4 weeks)to join their team working across residential services.

Who We Are:

WIDA is a community based voluntary provider of services for adults and children with an intellectual disability and/or autism in Waterford City and County.

WIDA is registered charity, with a voluntary Board of Directors, and is fully funded by the Health Service Executive.
