Job summary

Saint John of God Kerry Services is seeking Social Care Workers for the Tralee area on a full-time basis. The initial assignment is Tralee, with opportunities to join our long-term, permanent team delivering person-centred supports to individuals with an intellectual disability.

The ideal candidate will hold a Social Care Degree, be CORU registered, demonstrate strong communication and initiative, and hold a manual driving licence to support community-based programmes.

Qualifications

• Social Care Degree and CORU registration required.
• 1–2 years experience with intellectual disability desirable.
• Flexible, excellent communication and initiative.
• Commitment to person-centred programmes and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred social care supports to adults and children with an intellectual disability.
• Deliver and support community-based programmes within the Tralee area.

Social Care Worker - Full Time - (Initial Assignment Tralee Area)

Saint John of God Kerry Services is currently recruiting Social Care Workers to join our dedicated team in Tralee (initial assignment). Saint John of God Kerry Services provides a wide range of programmes and supports for adults and children with intellectual disabilities across the Kerry region. Requirements

• Candidates must hold a relevant Social Care Degree and be CORU Registered.
• 1-2 years' experience working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability (Desirable).
• Flexible and excellent communication skills.
• Initiative, motivation and enthusiasm.
• Commitment to the development and delivery of a person-centred programme.
• Experience of supporting people presenting with challenging behaviour.
• Must have a Full Driving Licence for a Manual Vehicle.

Salary: Paid in line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales
