Qualifications

• A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Studies, or a related discipline is essential.
• Registration with the CORU is required where applicable.
• Previous experience in social care is desirable but not essential.
• Positive attitude with the willingness to learn and support individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families, colleagues and external professionals.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A full driving licence is required or you should be working towards obtaining one.
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster.

The role of the Social Care Worker is to provide high-quality care and support to individuals who avail of our services. This role will include the following responsibilities on a day-to-day basis:

• Supporting individuals to plan, organise, and manage their daily activities and routines.
• Assisting individuals to access and actively participate in their local communities, promoting inclusion, independence, and social engagement.
• Supporting individuals in education, training, skills development, and the achievement of their personal goals and aspirations.
• Assisting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family and social relationships.
• Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of, and adhering to, all Company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
• Working flexibly across a 24-hour, 7-day service to meet the needs of the individuals supported and ensure continuity of care and support.
