Job summary

The Door Talent seeks a Social Care Worker to join a small, supportive team in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. You will provide high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.

We require CORE registration, a Social Care Worker qualification, a full driving licence, and strong English communication. 2-3 years of experience in Social Care is preferred. The role is full-time with 39 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and two-to-one support within shared rooms (staff never work alone).
• Deliver education-focused morning activities and in-house programmes (80% centre-based).
• Promote learning, development, and engagement through structured daily routines.
• Work collaboratively within a small team to maintain a positive, supportive environment.
• Contribute ideas and engage in continuous learning and professional development.

We are seeking a Social Care Worker who is passionate, motivated, and eager to contribute to a meaningful long-term project. You will work within a small, supportive team, providing high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.

Location: Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow

Hours: 39h/week (Monday-Friday, 8:30-16:30)

Contract: Permanent, Full Time.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

The Door Talent is supporting a centre created by families who wanted to build a meaningful, supportive space for young adults with 18-23 severe to profound intellectual disabilities. In just two years, the project has grown rapidly, supported by the HSE, with a strong ethos of learning, development, and person‑centred care.
