Job description

Bluebird Care are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to be part of the team. You will be responsible for providing high quality social care in line with the regulatory requirements and company's policies and procedures.

Your duties:

  • Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high dependency care, supervising medication, light housework/basic shopping needs.
  • Offering emotional and social support.
  • Monitoring and documenting client progress.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
  • Creating a safe and nurturing care environment for clients.
  • Providing assistance, guidance, and community resource mobilisation to carers in order to aid and counsel them.
  • Reporting and recording any incidents.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have a degree level 7/8 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or a related discipline.
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with CORU
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge of New Directions Services and Supports for adults with disabilities would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • A fluent level of English both written and oral is essential.
  • Must be flexible - willing and able to adapt to changing circumstances, shift patterns and expectation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
