Job summary

Barróg Healthcare is seeking a Residential Social Care Worker to deliver person-centred, holistic care in a residential setting across mental health, disability, and social care. Join a private health and social care provider delivering nationwide services and support individuals to build independence and community inclusion.

Applicants must meet the essential criteria (Right to Work, full driving licence, QQI Level 7 and CORU registration) and be 25 or older for insurance.

  • Promote independence, community integration, and equal citizenship.
  • Act as an advocate and involve service users in care planning.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and social activities.
  • Complete required reporting and actively participate in team meetings.

ResidentialSocial Care Worker
Purpose of Role

Barróg Healthcare is a leading private health and social care provider delivering nationwide residential and day services across mental health, disability, and social care. We are looking for a Support Worker to deliver person-centred, holistic care to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities or autism in a residential setting—working alongside their circle of support to build independence, community inclusion, and equal citizenship.

Critical Requirements
  • Right to Work: You MUST already hold full, unrestricted Right to Work in Ireland (Stamp 4, EU/EEA/UK Passport). No visa sponsorship is available.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Full Driving License required.
  • Social Care Worker: Minimum QQI Level 7 in Health or Social Care (or equivalent) AND CORU regisration as a Social Care Worker
  • Age Requirement: Must be 25 or older for insurance purposes.

Applications that do not meet all three criteria above will not be processed.

  • Salary: €33,280 to €41,304 (New entrants start at entry scale).
  • Location: Mallow or Leamlara, Co.Cork
  • Job Type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent.
  • Shifts & Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM–8:00 PM and 8:00 PM–8:00 AM). Hours agreed upon offer; flexibility for 24/7 cover required.
  • Probation & Vetting: 6 months probation. Subject to reference checks, Garda Vetting, and international security clearance (if resident abroad for >6 months post-age 16).
