Terms: 30 hours per week plus sleepovers; initial 1-year fixed term contract
Role Summary
Social Care Worker required to work as part of a team to create a secure and stable environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and a busy respite house. We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person who can work on their own initiative with good common sense and a good sense of humour.
MAIN DUTIES:
Social Care Workers must have a full driver licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles
Social Care Workers support the persons in all areas of their lives - in their home and community.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Experience in the social care/intellectual disability sector preferably in residential and day service settings
Skills to support people with autism in ordinary places in the community
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Full, clean driver's license
Available to work residential hours which will include shift work/ sleepovers and weekends as part of an established friendly team.
Proficient in using standard office IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Hold a relevant qualification to degree level in the area of social care
