Job summary

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 weeks’ relevant healthcare or care experience.
• CORU registration as a Social Care Worker where applicable; OR Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant discipline.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and daily living support.
• Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and mobility.
• Supporting clients with daily activities and routines.
• Promoting independence, dignity and choice.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Following individual care plans and support plans.
• Observing and reporting changes in health and wellbeing.
• Working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding and professional standards.
• Supporting clients to live as independently as possible.
