Social Care Leader - Riverside Day Service in Dublin, Ireland. Full time, Specified Purpose Contract.
About Us
St. Michael’s House provides a comprehensive range of services and supports to men, women, and children with disabilities and their families in the greater Dublin area. It supports 1,953 people and has an impact on thousands of family members. St. Michael’s House is funded by the Health Service Executive (HSE), TUSLA and the Department of Education and Skills. Services include residential supports and independent living, clinical supports, day supports, schools, respite supports and vocational training services.
Responsibilities
- Lead a staff team in delivering a high‑quality, person‑centred Day Service based on interim standards set out in New Directions.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide interventions addressing issues that prevent attendees from achieving their goals.
- Maintain knowledge of Health Act 2007 and experience with HSE interim standards for New Directions.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are applied and promote a safe, supportive environment.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and partnership within the multidisciplinary team.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role in health or social care, with experience in intellectual disability, autism, complex health needs, positive behaviour support, advocacy and social inclusion.
- Relevant Health or Social Care Management Qualification; QQI Level 7 or equivalent; CORU registration or eligible to register as a Social Care Worker.
- Full, clean driving licence.

- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits
- HSE pay scale (point 1; €55,793 – point 7; €65,155 per annum) based on a 39‑hour week.
- Salary scales aligned with the HSE revised consolidated March 2025. Eligibility for progression depends on experience and point on the scale.
