A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Site Manager for a residential development project in Cork. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience managing new builds and a strong background in construction management. Project – Residential Development

Job Location – Cork City Area

Salary – €70,000 - €80,000 + package

About the Company

Working with an increasingly busy Top 40 main contractor who specialise in high value new builds across the Region. They have increased turnover year on year and are set to do so again this year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager with experience managing high rise new build developments from the ground up, right through to handover.

My client is looking for someone who is comfortable working with sizeable developments (over €10M)

The Role

• Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Modify and update the project programme with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
• Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
• Report to the Projects Manager and Contracts Manager.
• Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
• Overcome any issues that may arise during the construction phase in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that H&S and Company Compliance procedures are adhered to.
• Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts & Projects Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing residential or commercial projects with a main contractor or specialist contractor in Ireland.
• Proven record of overseeing the complete construction of a new residential development – ideally apartments
• Proven history of having worked on high volume developments
• Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
