Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Site Engineer for a major Cherrywood road infrastructure project in Dublin. You will support day-to-day delivery on site with a civil engineering background, focusing on setting out and quality control.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years’ site experience; GPS and Total Station skills are essential. The position offers a salary of €55,000–€65,000 DOE and a company vehicle, with strong opportunities for long-term

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of civil and road infrastructure works on site.

• Assist with road construction, earthworks, drainage, utilities and civils.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Complete site measurements, surveys and as-built information.
• Maintain site records, daily reports and progress documentation.
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor works to ensure conformance to drawings and programme.
• Assist QA/QC inspections and maintain quality documentation; RAMS.

Site Engineer - Cherrywood

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major road infrastructure project in Cherrywood, Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a strong civil engineering background to work on a significant infrastructure development within a busy construction environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of civil and road infrastructure works, working closely with the Site Management and Engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day delivery of civil and road infrastructure works on site
• Carry out setting out using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment
• Assist with road construction, earthworks, drainage, utilities and associated civils
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information
• Complete site measurements, surveys and as-built information
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and progress documentation
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Monitor works to ensure they are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
• Assist with QA/QC inspections and maintain relevant quality documentation
• Support health & safety requirements, including RAMS and permit systems
• Assist in resolving technical issues and coordinating works across different work fronts

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Engineer
• Previous civil engineering / road infrastructure experience essential
• Experience working on roads, earthworks, drainage or utilities projects highly desirable
• Strong setting out and surveying skills
• GPS and Total Station experience required
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and site engineering practices
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a busy site environment
• Full driving licence required
