Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a large residential development in Navan. You will be responsible for setting out, level checking, and supporting the Site Manager in daily operations.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and experience on similar residential projects. The role includes managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Attractive salary in the range of €65k-€75k along with a benefits package is offered.

Site Engineer

Our client needs an experienced Site Engineer for a large residential development in Navan: houses, duplexes and apartments, plus the roads and services. Big scheme, long‑term work. You’ll handle the engineering on site — setting out, levels, quality checks — and back up the Site Manager on the day‑to‑day.

Duties

• Setting out for foundations, rising walls, drainage, kerbs, columns, beams and walls
• Setting levels and overseeing groundworks, block layers, steel‑fixers, shuttering carpenters and pours
• Surveying the works and keeping subcontractor records
• Materials management with the Site Manager and Purchasing — right specs, on time, minimal waste
• Irish Water liaison, QA folder and as‑builts
• Supervising operatives, direct and subcontract
• Quality control and building control
• H&S — inductions, audits, PPE
• General admin and document control

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction
• Site Engineer experience on residential jobs, ideally in Ireland
• Strong setting out and surveying — groundworks, drainage, structures
• Knows how houses, duplexes and apartments go up
• Organised, good on records
• Can deal with the site team, subbies and Irish Water
• Solid on H&S and quality
