Job summary

Seán & Justin Murphy Limited t/a Murlock Construction in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter for immediate start on projects across Ireland.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required; no formal academic qualifications are necessary and on-the-job training will be provided. Responsibilities include constructing and repairing structures using wood, steel, and concrete, and creating wood elements for building projects.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair a variety of commercial and industrial structures and fixtures using wood, steel, and concrete.
• Assemble and create wooden elements for the construction of buildings.
• Fit, assemble and alter internal and external fixtures of buildings such as walls, doors, frames and panelling.

Our client, Seán and Justin Murphy Limited t/a Murlock Construction, based in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, is currently seeking Shuttering Carpenters for immediate start at their facility in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, and various sites around Ireland as per current projects. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in a previous role required. There are no minimum academic requirements. No formal qualification is required for this role. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:To construct, install, and repair a variety of commercial and industrial structures and fixtures using wood, steel and concreteTo assemble and create wooden elements for the construction of buildings To cut, shape, assemble, erect and maintain various types of structures and fittings made from wood and other materials To make, alter and repair structural and other woodwork at a workbench or on a construction siteTo construct, erect and install heavy-framed wooden structures on building sitesTo fit, assemble and alter internal and external fixtures of buildings such as walls, doors, frames and panelling Essential knowledge includes types of wood, wood cuts and woodworking tools Essential skills include sawing, measuring, sketching and reading blueprints Candidate must be competent in creating wood joints, installing wood elements in structures and interpreting 2D and 3D plansCandidate must have experience in installing construction profiles, installing wood elements in structures and creating smooth wood surfaceCandidate must be familiar with and competent to implement all relevant construction health and safety procedures Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience as a Shuttering Carpenter Annual remuneration: €46,704.84; Pay Rate: €23.03 per hourWork Location: Seán & Justin Murphy Limited t/a Murlock Construction, Cappanargid, Rathangan, Co.
