Job summary

A leading Manufacturing company based in North Co. Dublin is seeking a Shift Supervisor to ensure product quality and staff safety. In this role, you will oversee shipping/receiving processes, lead staff meetings, and maintain safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in food manufacturing and a solid understanding of food safety regulations. The position offers a competitive salary between €45K and €50K.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products and goods meet food safety standards.

  • Oversee stock segregation, storage, and rotation.
  • Manage staffing levels and ensure adherence to rostered hours.
  • Ensure staff are trained and maintain training records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with drivers regarding dispatch times.

Skills

Qualification in food production, logistics, or management
Relevant certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP)
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment

About the Company:

A leading Manufacturing company based in North Co. Dublin are currently on the lookout for a Shift Supervisor required for a growing manufacturing business.

You will be involved in ensuring all products and goods received and dispatched meet the company’s Foods' strict food safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements as well as lead daily staff meetings to provide feedback, motivate staff, address concerns, and communicate company objectives. Ensure all staff are clear on their roles and responsibilities.

Duties Involve:
  • Ensure all products and goods received and dispatched meet the company’s strict food safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead daily staff meetings to provide feedback, motivate staff, address concerns, and communicate company objectives. Ensure all staff are clear on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee proper stock segregation, storage, and rotation in key areas such as the big fridge, dispatch, and goods-in area to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure the team is adequately resourced, minimise overtime, and ensure adherence to rostered hours, in line with the Working Time Directive.
  • Ensure all staff are fully trained and signed off for the jobs they are assigned. Maintain accurate training records and ensure employees are continuously developed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure all staff wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with drivers regarding dispatch times and ensure communication is clear to prevent delays or frustration.
Skills Required:
  • Qualification in food production, logistics, or management is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP), health & safety, or equivalent industry qualifications are desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably within a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing standards, food safety regulations, and compliance, especially within the Irish food industry.
  • Familiarity with working time regulations and experience managing staff hours, overtime, and adherence to rostering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and on your own.
