Job summary

Veolia Energy Services Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Mechanical Shift Technician to operate across 4 blocks of 12.25-hour day and night shifts at our Clondalkin site. You will train on predictive maintenance techniques, CMMS (Pemac) and fuel oil, gas turbine and boiler systems to ensure reliable plant performance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, fault investigation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaboration with the site planner, service providers, and engineers to

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Experience with six sigma/lean preferred.
• Craft qualified in mechanical discipline.
• Past experience in energy conversion and distribution.
• Technical writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day work with shift technicians on-site.
• Be the point of contact for service providers.
• Troubleshoot and investigate plant equipment faults; perform root cause analysis.
• Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure PMs are completed on time.
• Develop PMs, Job Plans, and SOPs for equipment.
• Support with safety procedures and compliance.
• Assist Site Engineer & HV Engineer in root cause analysis and capital projects.
