Job summary

Vickerstock, in partnership with an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, seeks a Head of SHEQ based in Co. Tyrone.

This senior role leads Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality functions across UK and Ireland, reporting to Director level and guiding a SHEQ team on multiple projects. You will oversee ISO management systems, audits, incident investigations and continuous improvement, driving compliance and a strong SHEQ culture throughout the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven senior SHEQ management experience in civil engineering or construction.
• NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification with a relevant degree or experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards and audits.
• Experience leading SHEQ teams and influencing senior management.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of SHEQ management systems.
• Manage and develop the SHEQ team across operational sites.
• Ensure compliance with UK and Irish legislation across the UK & Ireland.
• Oversee ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems, audits and certifications.
• Lead investigations and implement root cause actions.
• Monitor performance and report risks and improvements to senior management.
• Support tender submissions and client compliance needs.
• Promote a positive SHEQ culture across the business.
