Job summary

Quilter Insulation in Ireland is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to read plans, cut and shape metal, and assemble components for roofs, ducts, gutters and other assemblies. You will operate sheet metal tools, apply welding techniques, and adhere to health and safety standards on site.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work from 2D and 3D plans. Experience with rivets and metal joining technologies is desirable, and candidates should be able to work at heights and

Qualifications

• Experience reading 2D and 3D plans.
• Knowledge of metal joining and rivet types.
• Ability to use sheet metal tools safely and efficiently.
• Adherence to health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Maintain ergonomic work practices.

Responsibilities

• Read plans to determine materials and quantities.
• Cut, bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal components.

Sheet metal workers use sheet metal to make and repair sheet metal products and components for roofs, ducts for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, gutters and other metal structures. They read plans and determine the type and amount of materials to be used, then measure, bend, cut, shape, and attach pieces of sheet metal to create the required structure.
