Job Description
Main Duties:Fabricate steel and metal components to engineering drawings and specifications.Cut, shape, assemble and finish materials using workshop tools and machinery.Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and job instructions.Ability to use workshop equipment including but not limited toBrake PressGuillotineRequirements:Trade qualification in Fabrication, Engineering or a related discipline such a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Metal Fabrication.Proven experience as a Fabricator in a mechanical engineering or industrial setting.MIG and TIG Welding required.Ability to read and understand fabrication and engineering drawings.Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques and workshop practices.Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools and fabrication machinery.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong understanding of workplace safety standards.Forklift and manual handling certification (beneficial).BandsawPedistal DrillSectional and Plate RollsOverhead Gantry CraneForkliftEnsure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.Collaborate with welders, fitters and engineering office to complete jobs efficiently.Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.Follow all company health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.Assist with site installation work when required.
