Motago Ltd is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker in Dublin to fabricate, assemble, and install ventilation ductwork for varied projects. The role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to interpret blueprints and HVAC layouts.

You will collaborate with engineers and foremen on-site, perform routine maintenance, and ensure proper sealing and connections for optimal performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of sheet metal experience, HVAC preferred.
• Full license required; van provided for the role.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and HVAC layouts.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal for ductwork.
• Assemble ducts and fittings using welding, riveting, or sealing.
• Install ductwork per drawings and project specs.
• Secure ducts to ceilings, walls, or structures with brackets or straps.
• Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and connections.
• Coordinate with engineers and foremen on site.
• Inspect systems and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Adhere to health, safety, and PPE guidelines on site.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will specialise in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of ventilation ductwork for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. A full license is required as a van comes with the position and 5 years experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication & Assembly

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to create components for ventilation systems using tools such as shears, brakes, and rollers.
• Assemble ducts and fittings to required specifications using welding, riveting, or sealing techniques.

Installation

• Install ductwork systems, including supply, return, and exhaust ducts, in accordance with technical drawings and project specifications.
• Secure ducts and components to ceilings, walls, or other structures using brackets, hangers, or straps.
• Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and connection of all ductwork.

Technical & Design Compliance

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and HVAC system layouts to accurately plan and execute installations.
• Ensure work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and safety guidelines.

On-Site Coordination

• Collaborate with engineers, foremen, and other tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution.
• Address and resolve any technical or design issues on-site.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine inspections of installed systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Repair or replace damaged or defective components as needed.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely
