Job summary

Transcat is seeking a Service Coordinator in Ireland to oversee third-party calibration and repair services, from quotation through completion. You will liaise with suppliers, internal teams and customers to ensure on-time delivery and accurate record-keeping.

The role supports the Calibration Service Manager and wider laboratory team in daily administration and process improvement. Ideal candidates have strong organisational and communication skills, experience in logistics or purchasing, and

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, coordination, planning, logistics, purchasing or similar roles.
• Experience in calibration, engineering, manufacturing, life sciences, or regulated environments is advantageous but not required.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM/ERP or service management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate third-party calibration, repair and specialist services from quotation to completion.
• Obtain and review supplier quotations; liaise on pricing, requirements, POs and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Shipping to ensure quotations, dispatch, tracking and returns meet timelines.
• Monitor outstanding third-party activities and communicate delays to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in company systems and process purchase orders and supplier docs.
• Develop relationships with service providers to support quality and turnaround.
• Support Calibration Service Manager with lab administration, reporting and planning.
• Work with the team to improve processes and reduce delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
