Job summary

Xylem is seeking a multi-skilled Senior Engineering Technician to join our Service team in Ireland. You will support installation, service, and refurbishment of submersible and surface pumping equipment, wastewater treatment plants, control systems, valves and pipework.

The role requires a flexible, safety-focused approach, the ability to travel to customer sites, and willingness to work out of hours. A FETAC/SOLAS National Craft Cert Electrical or equivalent is preferred, with 37.25-hour week

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, service and refurbishment of pumping equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and undertake out-of-hours calls.

Responsibilities

• Analytical survey of control equipment, electrical and mechanical.
• Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment and moving parts.
• Install and commission supplied equipment and associated apparatus.
• Carry out planned and reactive service visits in a timely manner.
• Act as a resource for colleagues and support junior team members.
• Follow health, safety guidelines on all sites, including domestic and tier 1 contractor projects.
