Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Ireland seeks a Senior/Principal Engineer to act as technical specialist and delivery lead in coastal, river, sewer and water quality modelling, delivering complex water-industry projects for clients and regulators with technical excellence and clear results interpretation.

The role includes mentoring junior staff, taking leadership in methodologies, supporting regulator liaison on WFD and Bathing Water Directives, and driving innovation in rapid and real-time assessment tools

Qualifications

• PhD required in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong track record in leading modelling projects.
• Experience working with water regulators and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery on coastal, river, sewer and water quality modelling projects.
• Act as Technical Manager/Lead with robust model build, verification and interpretation of results.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and contribute to tools and methods improvements.
