Job summary
SimoTech is seeking a VPE C&Q Support Engineer to support a leading biotechnology client based in Limerick. The role focuses on qualification activities, integration of Vendor Packaged Equipment, and steady-state support across manufacturing and utilities.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in automation within GMP-regulated life sciences and will work with IT/OT teams, vendors, and site engineering to ensure successful SAT, commissioning, and handover.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of automation experience in GMP-regulated life sciences industries.
- Strong commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and systems integration skills.
- Experience with vendor OEM control systems and SCADA environments.
Responsibilities
- Integrate Vendor Packaged Equipment into site automation and OT infrastructure.
- Execute commissioning and SAT activities with vendors and site teams.
- Deploy and verify SCADA applications on virtualised server infrastructure.
- Coordinate IT/OT interfaces between control systems, PLCs, historians, and site systems.
- Perform Operational Verification testing and issue investigation.
- Manage change controls, punch lists, and documentation updates.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support through install to handover.
