Job summary

BNY is seeking a Legal Entity Risk Senior Vice President for the Dublin Branch to lead second line risk oversight. You will oversee risk governance, provide independent review and challenge to the first line, and help embed a robust risk framework across operations.

The role requires strong risk management experience in financial services and effective stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will interact with the Branch Executive Team and internal audit/regulators as

Qualifications

• Education: secondary/university graduate degree or equivalent with experience.
• Experience: financial services, operational risk, compliance or internal audit in large banks.
• Strong analytical skills to identify risk trends and distill data.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adheres to fitness and probity requirements.
• Builds relationships across Three Lines of Defence to implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management standards and governance.
• Support CRO with key risk data presentations and narratives for committees.
• Provide oversight and challenge to the Business under the Risk Management Framework.
• Participate in risk & compliance governance frameworks and ensure regulatory considerations are met.
• Identify, assess, manage and report risks from the first line of defence perspective.
• Advise on managing new and emerging risks with appropriate controls.
• Engage with strategic initiatives focusing on risk management solutions.
