Job summary

BNY in Dublin, Ireland seeks a Senior Vice President to join the Compliance Testing team within IRAG. You will lead compliance testing activities across assigned business areas, provide independent assurance and partner with stakeholders to strengthen regulatory compliance and risk management.

In this role, you will guide planning and execution, manage a team, oversee all testing phases, and promote rigorous governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Compliance Testing, Control Testing, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance within a bank, financial institution, regulator, or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and how to assess risks and controls.
• Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of compliance testing reviews across business areas, geographies, and risk topics, aligned to Global Testing Methodology.
• Manage and develop a team of testing professionals, setting priorities, coaching, and ensuring high-quality execution and growth.
• Direct all phases of testing engagements: risk assessments, test design, fieldwork, issue identification, reporting, and remediation validation.
• Build partnerships across the three lines of defence to influence actions and strengthen risk management.
• Interpret laws, regulations and policies to assess control effectiveness and provide practical improvements.
• Drive data analytics, automation, and AI tools to enhance testing coverage, efficiency, and reporting.
