Job summary

Protex AI Limited in Ireland is hiring a Senior ML Engineer to own the computer vision ML lifecycle, from data pipelines to model release on edge devices across client sites. You will work hands-on with the detection models and collaborate with product, infrastructure and support teams.

The role emphasizes high-agency work in ambiguity, mentoring peers, and setting engineering standards while delivering reliable detections for safety and operations.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related STEM field.
• 5+ years in software or ML engineering, with CV in production.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning for computer vision, from training to deployment.
• Strong Python skills and experience building data, training or deployment pipelines on cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Solid grasp of model evaluation and MLOps.
• Track record of owning architectural components and leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Shape the ML lifecycle for Protex detections, from data pipelines to model release and monitoring.
• Lead design and implementation of ML pipelines, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and enablement sessions.
• Act as the technical voice of computer vision across product, infra, apps, and install teams.
• Contribute to computer vision strategy and uphold core values: urgency, excellence, agency and care.
