Job summary

Meili is seeking a Senior UX Engineer who designs and builds flexible, responsive, and visually engaging interfaces across our platforms. You will collaborate with designers, product managers and engineers to turn concepts into polished experiences.

You will lead with UX/UI principles, prototype quickly, ensure accessibility (WCAG), and maintain a consistent look and feel across web and mobile while adopting modern web technologies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in front-end or UX/UI development.
• Proficiency with modern JS frameworks (React.js, Vue.js).
• Strong HTML5/CSS3 and responsive development skills.
• Experience with APIs and client-side state management.
• Experience with design tools like Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine UI/UX requirements with designers, product managers and engineers.
• Design and implement user interfaces using modern web technologies, ensuring responsiveness, scalability and performance.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on designs to validate and refine user experiences.
• Maintain a consistent look and feel across web and mobile platforms while adhering to brand guidelines.
• Apply design principles, accessibility standards (such as WCAG), and UX best practices to create polished and functional interfaces.

• Utilize your expertise in UX/UI principles to elevate user experiences, while taking charge of coding and bringing designs to life in our product

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with designers, product managers and engineers to define and refine UI/UX requirements

About You

• Extensive experience in front-end development and/or UX/UI development.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React.js or Vue.js) and state management
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive development skills
• Experience working with APIs, JSON data, and managing state in client-side applications
• Solid understanding of UX principles, wireframing, and experience working from visual design tools (such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with micro-interactions to enhance user experience, CSS pre-processors (e.g. Sass, Less)
• Understanding of accessibility standards and experience with inclusive user interfaces
• Knowledge of mobile-first and responsive design, and experience with React Native or other mobile frameworks
• Familiarity with UX research methods and usability testing
