Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst in Ireland to join our global insurance and risk management teams. The role focuses on managing and improving the investment programme, directing cash placements, and overseeing monthly performance reporting using Kyriba.

You will execute currency trades, forecast cash needs, and collaborate with finance teams across regions to optimize liquidity and portfolio composition. A CFA/CAIA/FRM or progress toward one is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
• 3-6 years relevant experience in treasury, banking, or finance.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, including treasury, money markets.
• Proficiency in cash forecasting and cash management principles.
• Exposure to AI applications and prompts is beneficial.
• CFA, CAIA, or FRM designation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve Gallagher's investment programme.
• Research and direct placement of excess cash; oversee monthly investment reporting; maintain global investments using Kyriba.
• Execute foreign currency trades using Bloomberg and coordinate pre- and post-trade activities.
• Prepare divisional cash forecasts and partner with local finance teams for analysis.
• Monitor and manage intercompany loan portfolios and cross-border settlements.
• Assist in multilateral netting and stay informed on market trends and currency movements.
• Provide ad hoc reports to senior leaders on investment performance and portfolio composition.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing and improving Gallagher's investment programme. You'll research and direct the placement of excess cash, oversee monthly investment performance reporting, and maintain global investments using the Kyriba treasury management system.

You'll also:

• Execute foreign currency trades using Bloomberg and manage pre- and post-trade coordination.
• Prepare divisional cash forecasts and partner with local finance teams for analysis.
• Monitor and manage intercompany loan portfolios and lead cross-border settlements.
• Assist in implementing multilateral netting and stay informed on market trends, currency fluctuations, and restrictions.
• Provide ad hoc reports to senior leaders on investment performance, forecasts, and portfolio composition.

About you

Here's what you'll bring to the role:

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking, or finance.
• A strong understanding of capital markets, including treasury, short-term secured funding markets, and money market funds.
• Proficiency in cash forecasting and sound cash management principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (VBA is desirable).
• Exposure to AI applications and prompts is beneficial.
• A CFA, CAIA, or FRM designation (or working towards one) is desirable.
• A proven ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines and communicate findings effective‑ly.
