Job summary

Morgan McKinley represents a key client in the FMCG sector recruiting a Transport Operations Manager in Ireland. The role leads a large transport function across a national network, focusing on service, cost, compliance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to senior operations leadership, you will manage a team of managers and supervisors, drive safe and compliant operation, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet financial and customer objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing large teams (150+).
• Minimum 5 years of management in logistics/transport.
• Strong experience in FMCG, retail, 3PL, or high-volume distribution.
• Experience with telematics and operational technology.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs and performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead transport operation for ~200 colleagues via direct reports.
• Deliver service, cost, productivity, compliance and engagement KPIs.
• Coach and develop direct reports; build leadership pipeline.
• Ensure SLAs and customer service standards are met.
• Collaborate with warehouse, commercial, supply chain, HR and finance.
