Job Title: Senior Systems Platform Architect

Overview

Infrastructure Design Services is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for analyzing and designing infrastructure frameworks that meet application, platform, or system needs in line with MasterCard's operational standards and principles.

The team is engaged from the beginning of the analysis and design phase, working closely with application teams and other critical stakeholders to ensure infrastructure and application architectures align with security, scalability, and availability standards.

The primary deliverable is the Technical Architecture Document (TAD), which details the infrastructure design for the application, platform, or system.

This role requires experience with internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security, and other internet technologies.

The architect will design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service, and backbone requirements. Experience with Microsoft Visio for middleware infrastructure design is preferred.

The role involves interfacing with users, application teams, and stakeholders to determine and gather evolving needs and requirements, generating high-level system requirements, and ensuring these are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.

Role Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with architects, engineers, application teams, and users to generate requirements ensuring all high-level requirements are met.
2. Create and maintain architectural products such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
3. Ensure all architectural artifacts are current and not obsolete.
4. Resolve internet architectural and operational issues impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
5. Research and evaluate new technologies for potential deployment in MasterCard’s internet infrastructure.
6. Lead regional projects as assigned, managing planning, timelines, costs, resources, and implementation.
7. Implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components adhering to standards and best practices.
8. Perform diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management for internet components.
9. Monitor production systems to ensure stability and future compatibility.
