Job summary

Sama Talent Group is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer for a leading engineering firm in County Westmeath. You will create precise 3D models, fabrication drawings, and erection plans for complex steel projects, coordinating closely with design, fabrication, and project teams to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in structural steel detailing, proficiency in Tekla Structures (preferred) or AutoCAD 3D, and solid knowledge of Irish building standards and Eurocodes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in structural steel detailing.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures (preferred) or AutoCAD 3D.
• Good understanding of Irish/EU standards and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures or AutoCAD.
• Generate material takeoffs, bolt lists, and CNC files for shop fabrication.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and site managers to resolve design queries.
• Ensure drawings comply with Irish/EU building regulations and standards.
• Conduct site visits across Ireland to verify dimensions and progress.
