Job summary

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin9 is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead an integrated stroke service. The role involves delivering expert assessment and interventions for stroke patients, working with the MDT to plan and evaluate pathways, and supporting junior staff in a busy neuroscience setting.

You will manage complex caseloads, contribute to service development and maintain professional standards in line with CORU guidelines and hospital governance.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible for registration on the CORU Occupational Therapists Register.
• Three years post-qualification clinical experience.
• Ability to discharge duties with a high standard of professional ability.
• Maintain annual CORU registration and PSAC compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver an integrated occupational therapy service for stroke patients.
• Collaborate with the neuroscience MDT to plan, deliver and evaluate stroke services.
• Manage a clinical caseload including in-patients and Early Supported Discharge patients.
• Promote professional practice, governance and continual service improvement.
