Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Carrigtwohill, Ireland, is seeking a Lead Process Development Engineer (Senior Staff) to drive manufacturing process development and capital equipment initiatives within a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering degree, at least 6 years in manufacturing/process/product development, proficiency in DFM and GD&T, and a track record of solving complex engineering challenges across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing, process development, product development, or a related engineering environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing process development.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), statistical methodologies, validation, and verification techniques.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving techniques to manufacturing and design-related technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects by defining technical objectives, determining project direction, and driving successful outcomes.
  • Lead capital equipment acquisition activities including equipment specification, supplier engagement, installation, and validation.
  • Develop, characterise, and optimise manufacturing processes through hands-on testing, analysis, and process experimentation.
  • Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions in accordance with established product development procedures.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet product, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
  • Review and approve validation documentation and support process verification and qualification activities.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers across multidisciplinary project teams.

What You Will Do

Pay Ranges

#IJ Ireland Pay Ranges: Ireland: €62,000 - €105,000 EUR Annual

The compensation information posted for this role may be presented as a salary range or a fixed amount depending on the role. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for incentive compensation (such as bonus and/or commissions where applicable), along with Stryker's comprehensive benefits package.

Travel Percentage: 10%
