Job summary

Medtronic in Galway is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer within the PCS group to verify software for implantable cardiac devices. You will develop and maintain automation tools and lead test automation efforts across the software lifecycle in a regulated medical device environment.

You will design CI/CD automation, collaborate with R&D and quality teams, mentor peers, and drive best practices. A 4+ year track record in test automation and hands-on experience with Appium and Selenium are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience, or 2+ years with advanced degree.
• Hands-on test automation with Appium and Selenium.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, JavaScript and Python.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ownership and delivery track record.
• Interest in Medtronic mission to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and frameworks for software verification.
• Lead and expand system-level test automation capabilities.
• Design, evolve CI/CD automation for reliability and speed.
• Partner with R&D and Quality to define verification strategies.
• Champion continuous improvement using lean principles.
