Job summary

Datavant Ireland in Galway is seeking a Software Engineer to help grow our healthcare data ecosystem. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from architecture to delivery, building scalable, production-ready code.

We value curiosity, adaptability, and strong fundamentals over a specific tech stack, with opportunities to mentor others and impact product outcomes through Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and modern cloud tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience delivering production-ready code.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (including React) with clean, scalable code.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills for data modeling and querying.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and workflows for high-volume systems.
• Collaborative mindset and effective cross-team communication.
• Track record delivering meaningful outcomes and leading projects.
• Educational background in Computer Science or Information Technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver impactful products powering our healthcare data ecosystem.
• Support and mentor fellow engineers while building reliable, scalable solutions.
• Take ownership of meaningful projects and contribute to technical decisions and direction.
• Develop innovative data solutions that help clients unlock better insights from healthcare data.
• Work with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and more.
• Share knowledge and strengthen our engineering community, including through our engineering blog.
