Senior Full Stack Engineer - Galway

Our client, a multinational financial services company based in Galway are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead a teamof engineers to develop high-quality applications. You will have the opportunity to lead the delivery and design of high value investment products that support our customers in providing excellent financial solutions.

This position comes with a competitive daily rate for a minimum duration of 12 months, and has potential opportunities for extensions.

The Skills You Bring

·Produce high-quality code, with high test coverage, following Fidelity processes, standards, and methodologies

·Ensuring systems in your assigned area are robust, resilient and stable

·You will ensure the end-to-end delivery of requirements or user stories meets the needs and expectations of our business partners

·A track record of mentoring junior team members

·You will contribute to the financial health of many Fidelity Investment customers as part of one of the teams that support the variety of business interests that achieve this overarching goal

The Expertise We’re Looking For:

·You care about doing excellent work with excellent people.

·You are experienced with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks.

·5+ years of experience working with Java, Springboot, Oracle, Kafka, Kubernetes,AWS -EKS.

·You have hands-on technical leadership experience leading and mentoring scrum teams focused on building software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed experiences.

·You are experienced architecting and producing technical designs and solutions and working with squad members to break these down into deliverable pieces of work

·You have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence in meaningful discussions with partners across business and architecture.

·Application design & development experience across the following:

oRelational Database (ideally Oracle)

oREST API development

·Experience with build, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, etc.)

·Experience with UI technologies (Angular, Javascript or other UI framework)is a plus

·Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS in particular would be a plus)

·Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams

·Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
