Job summary

Motorola Solutions Ireland Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join an Agile team developing containerized Linux user-space Python services for mission-critical land mobile radio products. You will interface with C/C++ subsystems and leverage AI tools to accelerate development.

You will apply solid Linux networking fundamentals, participate in automated testing, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in an RF telecommunications context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related; relevant software experience.
• Proficiency in Python development.
• Strong Linux OS concepts and networking basics.
• Experience with containerization platforms.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Containerized Linux user-space service development in Python.
• Integrate AI-assisted tooling where applicable.
• Interface with and debug C/C++ subsystems.
• Develop networking apps using sockets/TCP/UDP.
• Expand unit, integration and E2E tests.
• Work in RF telecom context and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure code quality with static analysis.
