Job summary

Base360.ai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale the platform powering short-term rental operations. You will architect scalable backend services, design robust APIs, and craft AI-powered automations that improve guest experiences and operator efficiency.

The role emphasizes ownership, end-to-end delivery, and close collaboration with founders in a remote-first environment. Expect opportunities to influence product direction and work with modern tech stacks.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production-grade software systems.
• Experience with FastAPI, Python, React, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and reliable data models.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product mindset.
• Curiosity about AI, automation, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications, services, and APIs powering reservations, pricing, payments, guest experiences, and operations.
• Build event-driven automations that reduce repetitive work across the lifecycle.
• Develop AI-powered systems for guest communications, pricing decisions, and maintenance triage.
• Create API-first architecture connecting internal services, channels, and third-party providers.
• Integrate with Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and other partners.
• Scale cloud-native infrastructure for reliability and global growth.
• Own delivery end-to-end, from discovery to deployment and iteration.
