Echobox is seeking a backend engineer to work with our Product and Data Science teams to shape the future of our AI-powered product suite. You will design, build, and maintain backend services that scale to large data volumes and integrate with frontend and data science systems.

We value proactive problem-solvers, strong coding standards, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Opportunities exist for remote work (part-time or full-time) with generous leave and pension provisions.

Formación

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data storage solutions.
• Proactive, results-driven mindset with ability to work independently and quickly.
• 3-5 years of experience in back-end development or related field, focusing on server-side technologies.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and back-end best practices.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and ability to collaborate with data scientists.

You will work closely with our Product team and Data Scientists to define and execute on the future path for our products

Work closely with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain back-end services and systems that support our AI-powered products, all whilst meeting launch deadlines

Assist in the development and optimization of scalable, high-performance systems to support large volumes of data and machine learning models

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following best practices and coding standards

Contribute to the deployment and integration of back-end services, ensuring that they work seamlessly with front-end and data science systems

Help improve the architecture and functionality of our back-end systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability

Assist with debugging and troubleshooting technical issues, providing solutions to enhance system performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and contribute to continuous improvements

Continuously learn and apply new technologies and techniques to improve back-end infrastructure and processes
