Job summary

Echobox in Ireland is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help shape the future of our AI-powered products.

You will work with product and data science teams to design, build, and maintain scalable services, deploy them to cloud environments, and ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience in SaaS or tech environments.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Java or Node.js with backend frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and cloud deployment.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and scalable data storage.
• Collaborative mindset to work with data scientists on ML models.

Job description

• You will work closely with our Product team and Data Scientists to define and execute on the future path for our products
• Work closely with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain back-end services and systems that support our AI-powered products, all whilst meeting launch deadlines
• Assist in the development and optimization of scalable, high-performance systems to support large volumes of data and machine learning models
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following best practices and coding standards
• Contribute to the deployment and integration of back-end services, ensuring that they work seamlessly with front-end and data science systems
• Help improve the architecture and functionality of our back-end systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Assist with debugging and troubleshooting technical issues, providing solutions to enhance system performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and contribute to continuous improvements
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies and techniques to improve back-end infrastructure and processes
