Job summary

Az-Tec Talent is seeking two Data Engineers with strong Snowflake expertise to design, build, and optimize data platforms and pipelines for a major insurance client in Ireland. The roles are contract-based, with hybrid on-site work in Dublin 2–3 days per week and a rate of up to £600 per day (Outside IR35).

Ideal candidates have enterprise-scale data engineering experience, strong Snowflake proficiency, and insurance industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Insurance industry experience is essential.
• Understanding of insurance data models and domain concepts.
• Experience building modern data pipelines using cloud technologies.
• Strong SQL skills and data integration/transformation.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP and data warehousing best practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Hybrid work arrangement: 2–3 days on-site in Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and optimise cloud-based data solutions and data platforms on Snowflake.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems into enterprise data environments.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and developers to deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across the platform.
• Support data modelling, transformation, and optimisation activities.
• Contribute to best practices around engineering, testing, documentation, and deployment.
