Job summary

Shutterstock is seeking a highly experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team, helping design, build, operate and evolve the infrastructure powering GIPHY and other platforms. You will work with cloud, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD platforms to improve reliability, scalability and efficiency across distributed systems.

You will partner with development teams to ensure safe, scalable deployments, respond to incidents, diagnose complex issues, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with IaaS operations and IaC (Terraform, Atlantis).
• Strong containerization/orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design, operate and troubleshoot AWS infra (EKS, S3, EC2, VPC).
• Ability to design cost-effective solutions and optimize spend.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve cloud and CDN presence with reliability and cost efficiency.
• Improve CI/CD platform for developer experience and deployment reliability.
• Drive multi-region Kubernetes cluster implementations and optimize existing environments.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across OS, network, container and cloud layers.
• Adopt AI-assisted development practices to enhance platforms and workflows.
