Job summary

E‑Frontiers in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join on a 12-month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on reliability, automation, monitoring and continuous delivery across AI and data platforms, working with development, operations and product teams to improve platform resilience and performance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or similar role.
• Experience with Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory and/or Chef).

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve full lifecycle of services from design to production operations.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a leading global technology organisation on a 12-month contract, with potential for extension.

This role will support the development and operation of enterprise AI and data platforms, focusing on reliability, automation, monitoring and continuous delivery. You will work across development, operations and product teams to enhance platform resilience, optimise performance and support the deployment of scalable AI-driven solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SRE with strong DevOps and automation experience to contribute to large-scale, business-critical technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the full lifecycle of services, from design and deployment through to production operations and continuous improvement.
• Monitor application availability, latency and system health using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Support the deployment and operation of AI, data and distributed platforms.
• Design, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated software releases.
• Automate operational processes and routine tasks using scripting and programming.
• Analyse incidents, identify root causes and implement improvements to system reliability and resilience.
• Work closely with development teams to identify operational gaps and address performance or stability concerns.
• Support system design, capacity planning, launch reviews and production readiness activities.
• Contribute to incident response, post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global technology teams and share knowledge with junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, production support or a similar engineering role.
• Strong experience with Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring, observability and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory and/or Chef.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, Shell or Unix scripting.
• Experience supporting production systems, distributed platforms or data-intensive applications.
• Understanding of automation, deployment processes, system reliability and incident management.
• Experience working across development, operations and product teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning or data platforms.
• Familiarity with AI and agentic workflows.
• Experience with Apache NiFi and SQL.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, Go, C/C++ or a similar language.
• Previous experience within financial services, fintech or payments.
