Job summary

Vodafone Ireland is hiring a Security Architect to shape secure software development and guide cross‑functional teams. You will define security requirements, advise project teams, and manage cyber security risks across local initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement Secure by Design, review documentation, and provide security guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including 24/7 incident escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical degree.
• Professional certificates such as TOGAF, ITIL, ISO27000 LA/LI, (ISC)2 CISSP, CCSP, ISACA CISM/CISA/CRISC are advantageous.
• 8+ years IT Security Engineering/Architecture/Consultancy experience.
• Excellent knowledge of IT Security technologies and SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements and provide guidance to project teams.
• Implement Secure by Design principles across initiatives.
• Assess impact of policies on local organization and ensure compliance.
• Provide security assurance, guidance and support at requirements and architecture levels.
• Lead security design and ensure implementations meet standards.
• Serve as escalation point for security incidents and 24/7 availability when required.
