Job summary

Google’s Information Security Response team in Ireland is seeking a senior security professional to lead investigations of security and privacy incidents. You will work with intrusion detection analysts, privacy, product and legal teams to coordinate and drive incident resolution on a range of events.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s products. You will be on the front lines with cross-functional stakeholders, contributing to post-incident reviews and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in incident response or emergency management.
• 2 years of experience as a technical security professional, with digital forensics or systems administration.
• Experience with executive or customer stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience with a data-driven approach towards solving information security issues.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security and privacy incidents across data sources; assess risk and communicate with stakeholders.
• Respond to large-scale incidents; author reports and contribute to post-incident analysis.
• Improve incident management processes; leverage tools to increase efficiency.
• Build relationships with Legal, Engineering, and Communications teams.

Job description

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with digital forensics.
• Experience managing privacy incidents.
• Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Conduct thorough investigations of security and privacy incidents, analyzing various data sources to assess risk and impact and communications with key stakeholders.
• Play a key role in responding to large-scale incidents, including writing comprehensive reports and contributing to post-incident analysis.
• Drive improvements in our incident management processes, leveraging tools and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Google, including Legal, Engineering, and Communications teams.
