Amazon in Dublin, Ireland seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to help design and operate highly reliable, scalable distributed systems for DynamoDB, a NoSQL database powering mission-critical workloads. You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and tackle performance and durability challenges at cloud scale.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
• Architecting and delivering large features with reliability and scalability.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, C++, C#).

Responsabilités

• Design and implement highly available, horizontally scalable distributed systems.
• Own the technical design of large features and multi-quarter initiatives.
• Address replication, consistency, partitioning, reliability, security, and performance at massive scale.
• Drive operational excellence: observability, on-call readiness, and root-cause analysis.
• Perform data analysis to optimize performance and cost of services.
• Lead design and code reviews and set engineering best practices.
• Mentor SDEs through reviews, guidance, and pairing.
• Keep knowledge current and adopt new technologies as needed.
