Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Senior/Principal RF Power Electronics Engineer for a Cork-based medical device client. You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D team on new product and process development for electrosurgery devices and high-energy subsystems, in a permanent role.

You will design high-energy electrical subsystems, translate requirements into designs, guide testing and validation, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance and documentation for DHF and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience designing high-energy subsystems for medical devices is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, refine and evaluate electrical components, assemblies and subsystems for electrosurgery medical devices.
• Lead design and implementation of high-energy subsystems for patient-connected devices.
• Translate user and system needs into electrical requirements and designs.
• Apply rapid prototyping and testing to accelerate development while meeting cost, quality and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring on product commercialization and engineering challenges.
• Contribute to voice-of-customer activities and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead engineering documentation and DHF content and standards-based development.
